Happy New Year to all! 2021 has been a hard year to say the least but it was redeemed with the releases of several amazing fantasy books include P.L Stuarts Debut novel A Drowned Kingdom. For those of you who missed my review of this novel (which I loved), you can view it in the below link as it was posted on FanfiAddict where I am a co-blogger.

A Drowned Kingdom (The Drowned Kingdom #1) by P.L. Stuart

Here is the synopsis for A Drowned Kingdom:

Once Second Prince of the mightiest kingdom in the known world, Othrun now leads the last survivors of his exiled people into an uncertain future far across the Shimmering Sea from their ancestral home, now lost beneath the waves. With his Single God binding his knights to chivalric oaths, intent on wiping out idolatry and pagan worship, they will have to carve out a new kingdom on this mysterious continent―a continent that has for centuries been ravaged by warlords competing for supremacy and mages channeling the mystic powers of the elements―and unite the continent under godly rule.

With a troubled past, a cursed sword, and a mysterious spirit guiding him, Othrun means to be that ruler, and conquer all. But with kingdoms fated on the edge of spears, alliances and pagan magic, betrayal, doubt, and dangers await him at every turn. Othrun will be forced to confront the truths of all he believes in on his journey to become a king, and a legend.

When one kingdom drowns, a new one must rise in its place. So begins the saga of that kingdom, and the man who would rule it all.

P.L. Stuart lives in Chatham, Ontario, with his wife, Debbie. A Drowned Kingdom is the first novel in The Drowned Kingdom Saga.

Now we get to the good stuff! I’m humbled and honored to reveal the cover art for Book #2 in The Drowned Kingdom Series, The Last of the Atalanteans

A painted mage. An unfaithful queen. A stolen throne. Three lords in disguise. Escaping Atalantyx’s destruction, Prince Othrun has forged alliances with Eltnish kings: former enemy Hert and King Wely, who has promised Othrun a kingdom of his own.

When Wely’s realm was stolen by Wely’s wife, a powerful mage, and Wely’s brother, a feared warlord, Othrun hatched a daring plan to restore the rightful
king. The bold scheme involved Othrun entering Lynchun in disguise, risking
his life and the life of those with him, to topple the usurpers. But for Othrun’s plot
to succeed, he must entrust his Atalanteans into the uncertain hands of Hert—
on the cusp of confronting his own political challenges to kingship, while tasked
with protecting Othrun’s followers—even as Wely, a captive where he should be
king, gambles both crown and the head upon which it sat on Othrun’s survival.

Othrun’s abilities, faith, and trust in his mysterious guardian spirit are soon
to be tested. The mage Lysi continues to entangle herself in Othrun’s affairs,
tempting him, challenging his beliefs, and threatening to bring his plans to ruin.
But Othrun, Lord of the Last of the Atalanteans, does not intend to fail. He will
be a king. Or die trying. Othrun will go to battle, and he will triumph against the
odds. If not, all will be burned to ashes, consumed in the fires of his ambition.
And so, the ancient war banner of Atalantean kings will fly. One last time. A
kingdom has fallen. A legend will rise.

I hope everyone is as excited for this book as I am! I mean how many covers have a Mammoth on it. Book 2 is Scheduled to be released in March 2022. Happy reading!
